Validation Warning 6975 |
KBA-01529-X5F3N0 |
Summary |
Warning 6975 Short Text: Language families should not be used for Native Language.
Long Text: Native Language was submitted as a language family or a group of languages. Use a specific language for Native Language, if available.
Business Rule Logic: Throw for any language with ‘languages’ in the language name with the exception of sgn - Sign Languages and kar - Karen languages.
How to Fix: You're seeing this warning because a student's Native Language was entered as a language family, such as "Latin American Languages," rather than a specific language, such as "Portuguese." Enter a specific language for the student's Native Language, then resubmit the data.
Example: Anne's record is throwing a warning that her native language is a language family and not a specific language. District Deb checks Anne's record and sees that a language family was entered instead of Anne's actual native language, Portuguese. Deb corrects Anne's native language, then resubmits the data to WISEdata to clear the warning.
For more information, see the Native Language data element page. |
