Validation Warning 6974 |
KBA-01530-K5C5T3 |
Summary |
Warning 6974 Short Text: Native Language should be a modern language.
Long Text: Native language was submitted as an old or ancient language. This is possible but unlikely. Submit a language that does not contain the words "Old" or "Ancient," or that does not include a date range.
Business Rule Logic: Throw for any language with 1. ‘(Old)’ or ‘(Ancient)’ in the language name 2. An end year or era date range in the language name.
How to Fix: You're seeing this warning because a student's Native Language was entered as an old or ancient language instead of a modern language. This is unlikely, but possible. To correct the issue, enter the appropriate modern language in WISEdata. For example, if the student's Native Language was entered as "Old English," enter "English."
Example: Anne's record is throwing a warning that her native language is not a modern language. District Deb checks Anne's record and sees that "Old English" was entered as her native language. Deb corrects Anne's native language to "English," then resubmits the data to WISEdata to clear the warning.
