Validation Error 6392
KBA-01174-T7V2M4
Summary

Short Text: Only one disability may be identified with the order of primary.

Long Text: Only one disability may be identified with the order of Primary. The Primary disability order identified the “Reporting” disability of the student. ‘Other’ disabilities should be reported with an order of secondary or lower. Multiple disabilities may be identified with the secondary order.

NOTE: This error applies to Choice schools.

How to Fix: Check the student’s special education program association (sSEPA) record and/or IEP for the disability listed as the primary disability in the record(s). Compare what’s in the sSEPA or IEP to what disabilities have been listed in the SIS record. Modify the SIS disability order to reflect the order of disabilities, ensuring the primary disability is reported as such and that only one disability is listed as primary.

Example: Ingrid’s record is throwing an error that she has more than one primary disability listed. District Deb checks it out and, after verifying Ingrid as a special education student, compares the disability order in her IEP to the SIS values. She sees she has both Autism (A) and an emotional behavioral disability (EBD), but Autism is her primary disability. Deb modifies Ingrid’s record to show that A is the primary disability, and the EBD is the Other, secondary disability.

Technical Details:

Business Rule Logic: Multiple disabilityDescriptors are submitted as Primary Disability (orderOfDisability as 1)
