Validation Error 6508

Short Text: Exit Type ETC (Expected transfer/promotion to a new school covered by WISEdata. Not known to be continuing.) submitted, but required field is missing, 'Expected Transfer School'.

Long Text: Expected transfer to a school covered by WISEdata; not known to be continuing’ was selected and Expected Transfer District equals submitting district. Expected Transfer School must be provided.

How to Fix: Verify if the student transferred to another WI school in your district covered by WISEdata. If the student transferred, maintain the ‘Expected Transfer…’ value and then enter the expected transfer school to clear the error.

Example: Duke’s record displays an error that it’s missing the expected transfer school. District Deb checks into the matter and sees that Duke exited Sudoku Middle School to transfer to Crossword, the middle school on the other side of town. Deb doesn’t have proof of the transfer to Crossword, but she was informed by Duke’s mother of the transfer. Deb keeps her exit type and enters Crossword Middle School in the Expected Transfer School field to clear the error.

Business Rule Logic –
This is thrown for intra-district transfers only where districts, CMOs, and Systems are 'districts' and non-district 2Rs not associated to a CMO and private school not associated to a system are treated as districts or systems.  (2) Transfer district and school are entered by the submitting agency. Transfer response is submitted by the expected transfer district. (3) This rule runs for possible full-term dropouts. (4) Will not run for 2015-16. (5) will run in 2016-17 for Districts, CMOs, and Systems.
