Error 7126

Validation Error 7126 -The Wisconsin minimum number of Social Studies credits for graduation is three

Short Text: The number of credits submitted does not match the Wisconsin minimum criteria for Social Studies.

Long Text: The number of credits submitted does not match Wisconsin's minimum criteria for Social Studies, which is three (3) credits.

How to Fix: This error throws ONLY for schools that offer high school grades (9-12) who have submitted a graduation plan that does not contain the required three credits of Social Studies. Ensure that your graduation plan includes the correct number of Social Studies credits to meet Wisconsin graduation requirements to clear the error.

Example: District Deb sees an error indicating that the graduation plan submitted by her school/district does not include at least three credits for Science courses. She investigates and determines that there was an error entered in the graduation plan. She corrects the number of credits required for Social Studies, and resubmits the plan, clearing the error.

Technical Details:

Business Rule Logic: The credits submitted by the LEA are not matching with Wisconsin's minimum requirement of three Social Studies credits. Credits submitted < 3 - OR - is ‘NULL’ (not submitted).

  • Exclude this rule for Independent 2R charters and CMOs.

  • Exclude this rule (do not throw this rule) when:

    •  an LEA ONLY offers grade levels K-8

    • OR

    • An LEA doesn't offer any 9-12 grade level.
