Validation Warning 7190

Message: Course section identified as ‘Content-based World Language Program’ includes students with a grade level above 6. Review the grade level of enrolled students and World Language program type and correct, if appropriate.

How to Fix: This warning appears if a course section with a program type of Content-based World Language Program (CBWL) includes students whose grade level is outside of the grade range. To fix the warning, ensure that the course should be marked as a CBWL course. If it is not, update the program type. If the program type is correct, ensure that the grade level of the enrolled students is correct. If both are correct, you can acknowledge the warning.

Example: District Deb sees a warning that a course at a school in her district has a program type of Content-based World Language Program (CBWL) but includes students outside the expected grade range. She investigates to determine if the program type is correct for the course. The course is correctly marked, so she then checks the grade levels of the enrolled students. One student, Jonathan, has an incorrect grade level on his record. Deb corrects the grade level and resubmits the data, clearing the warning.

Technical Details

Business Logic: Throw the warning on student section, if WL Program on studentSectionAssociationPrograms is CBWL and student grade level > 6.
