Short Text: Both Evaluation Delay Reason and Late Reason submitted

Long Text: An error will throw if both an ‘Evaluation Delay Reason’ and an ‘Evaluation Late Reason’ were submitted. When an evaluation gets completed beyond the 60-day timeline, a ‘Reason’ must be submitted, either an Evaluation Late Reason or an Evaluation Delay reason, but do not enter both. To fix the error remove either the Evaluation Delay Reason or the Evaluation Late Reason.

How to Fix: This error appears when a report took longer than the 60-day timeframe and BOTH an Evaluation Delay Reason and an Evaluation Late Reason were submitted. To clear the error, only submit the ‘Reason’ that applies best to your situation.  Evaluation Delay Reason should be selected if your evaluation is not complete yet, but you will be submitting it late once it is complete. Evaluation Late Reason should be used if your eval was complete, but you did not submit it on time.

Example: Special Ed Director Dylan was not able to complete her special ed evaluation within the 60-day timeline. She confirms that it has taken over 60 days because she started on February 1,  2022 and the date she is entering her evaluation information is April 22nd. She sees error 7180 on 'InfiniteData,' her school data system, and she also sees that she has entered both a response for Evaluation Delay Reason (the student being evaluated was out with an illness for multiple school days) AND for Evaluation Late Reason (once the report was done, Director Dylan’s household was also ill and took time to recover). She removes the ‘Evaluation Late Reason’ because that best pertains to the circumstances of her situation. This clears the error.

Business Rule Logic:

  • Throw on /SEPEA if Evaluation Late Reason is not NULL, Evaluation Late Reason is not an empty string, and Evaluation Delay Reason Descriptor is not NULL( left blank).
