Warning 7444
Short Text: Learning Modality Program Association Record Overlap Within the Same School”
Long Text: Learning modality program association record overlap exists within the same school. Multiple learning modality program associations exist for this student in the same school, and the end date of one learning modality program association is on or after the begin date of another. If the end date has not been sent, the end date is treated as being June 30, and that record will overlap with any other record that exists in the same school. Set an end date that is at least one day before the subsequent record’s begin date.
How to Fix: This warning displays when there is an overlap in begin and end dates that indicate learning modality type. Learning modality program associations may not overlap. To avoid record overlap, an accurate beginning and end date must be established for each modality type.
To fix, make sure that correct begin dates and end dates have been entered for each learning modality type listed for each student. Once you've verified the dates for each learning modality type, modify (or enter, if an end date was previously left blank) the dates to valid values such that there is no overlap of time.
Example: District Dharma receives an error that the submitted learning modality type program association for their student Max overlaps another learning modality type during Max’s enrollment period at Parkside School. District Dharma knows that Max switched from ‘In-person’ learning to ‘Remote’ learning for a while at the end of the school year before finishing the year ‘In-person’.
Dharma looks into the matter and finds that no end date was entered for Max’s ‘Remote’ learning modality type, even though a begin date of May 10 was entered when Max returned to ‘In-Person’ learning. Because both of these learning modality types are associated specifically with Max at Parkside School during the same enrollment (Max’s 5th-grade year), Dharma knows the records can't overlap or have missing dates.
Dharma checks with the front office associate and the classroom teacher to verify the begin and end dates of each learning modality type for Max. Max was ‘In-Person’ from the first day of school (Sept 1, 2021) until he began ‘Remote’ learning modality type on April 25, 2021. The end date for Max’s ‘Remote’ learning modality type was blank, so Dharma entered the correct end date for Max’s ‘Remote’ learning modality type as May 9, 2021. It was confirmed that Max returned to ‘In-Person’ learning on May 10, 2021, until the end of the school year. Finally, Dharma submits the end date of June 9 (the last day of school) for the ‘In-Person’ learning modality type.
Technical Details:
Business Rule Logic: Throw the error when SPA has multiple programs for program type = Modality AND School Id is same AND Program dates overlap
