Short Text: Residency Period dates overlap in the same enrollment.

Long Text: If more than one Residency Period Date is submitted on the same SSA and the Residency Period Date overlaps, then fix the error by correcting the Residency Period Date or removing the Residency Period Date Record Date.

How to Fix: Check to see if the dates entered for residency period were entered correctly. If not, enter the correct residency period date(s) to clear the error.

Check to see that only one residency period was entered. If multiple residency periods were entered, remove the incorrect residency period to clear the error.

Example: Talulah’s record displays an error that she has overlapping residency period dates. District Dylan looks into this and discovers that Talulah’s enrollment record has multiple dates listed for her enrollment for this current school year. District Dylan talks with the school’s front office staff to obtain the correct enrollment dates and then removes the unneeded dates from the SIS.

Technical Details:

Business Rule Logic: Throw on Submitting SSA if (Multiple Residency Periods) exist AND Dates overlap.
