Short Text: Missing disability data from Choice School when disability data exists.
Long Text: Missing disability data from Choice School when disability data exists. A student’s disability is reported by another LEA, but the Choice school is missing/not reporting the disability value.
How to Fix: This error displays when WISEdata detects that a student has a special education program association (i.e., a sSEPA record) but the Choice school holding the student enrollment has not submitted any disability data.
When a Choice student is being serviced within an Individualized Service Plan (ISP), a non-primary enrollment is reported by the public district for the special education services provided. Choice schools need to report the disability in their SIS and verify the disability data is visible on WISEdata Portal.
You can view this disability data on WISEdata Portal on the following screens:
Student Demographics - School Level on a specific Student Details screen.
Data Quality screen > Data Quality Indicators > Enrollment Current by switching the dropdown option to “Student by Grade and Disability Status”.
Exports > TFS.
Example: Choice School Staff Member Charlie sees the Error 7475 for a student named Emily, who transferred from a public school this year.
Emily’s record indicates that when she attended public school, she received services for special education. This year at her Choice school, Emily has an ISP to support her specific learning disability (LD). Choice School Staff Member Charlie enters this disability into the school’s student information system (SIS) and knows it will push over to WISEdata Portal overnight.
The next day, Choice School Staff Member Charlie logs in to WISEdata Portal to review Emily’s record. Charlie can verify that Emily’s disability data appears on WDP and the error is now cleared.
Technical Details:
Business Rule Logic: Throw on the latest SEOA , if any /StudentSpecialEducationProgramAssociation (sSEPA) are submitted with disability for that student AND /StudentEducationOrganizationAssociationDisability is missing
