  • Short Text: District of Residence is set to an invalid type of district. As an independent charter school (non-district charter school), you must send a valid District of Residence for all students.

  • Long Text: District of Residence is set to an invalid type of district. As an independent charter school (non-district charter school), you must send a valid District of Residence for all students. If the District of Residence is supplied, it must be a public school district that is open in the school year. It cannot be an independent charter (non-district charter), the Department of Corrections, Department of Health Services, Department of Public Instruction, Wisconsin School for the Deaf, Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, or a County Children with Disabilities Education Board (CCDEB).

  • NOTE: Error 6631 is being replaced by Error 7467 for the 2023-24 school year going forward due to a significant change in logic and some residency data element changes.

            • How to Fix: Check to see if the student in question attends a non-district independent charter school. If so, identify the student’s resident district, ensuring it is not the charter school’s district. Enter the appropriate value for Resident District to clear the error.

            • Example: Rosa’s record displays an error that she needs a resident district entered on her record because she attends a non-district independent charter school. District Deb looks into this and discovers Rosa does indeed attend an independent charter school and currently has the charter school district listed in her record as resident district, which is invalid. Deb talks with the school and Rosa’s family to figure out her resident district and then enters that as the Resident District value.
