Long Text: The reported Education Environment code indicates an educational setting that does not align with the student's age. Please review the student's Age and Education Environment code and resubmit the SSEPA record.
How to Fix: This error appears if a student’s submitted educational environment is not appropriate for the student’s submitted age for their special education (SSEPA) record, as determined by the submitted SSEPA record begin/end date.
To ensure accurate federal reporting, it is critical that the SSEPA that covers October 1 has a valid educational environment for the student’s age as of October 1.
To fix this error:
- Ensure that the SSEPA begin date is accurate and has been submitted to WISEdata Portal, and
- Ensure the child’s age is 6 - 21, and
- Ensure the child’s Ed Environment code is one of the following:
- "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", "F", "G", "I", "J", "S," "T".
Technical Details
Business Logic: Throw on sSEPA if:
- Student Age (as of Effective Begin Date) is 6 - 21 AND
- Ed Environment code is "R1", "R2", "R3", "R4", B1", "B2", "B3", "B4", "B5".
- Do not run for DOC Students.
NOTE: If no SSEPA begin/end date has been submitted, this rule uses the Effective End Date instead.
